Cipher Sessions - Part 1

I recently worked on a great idea with DJ Sarah Love from 1Xtra, me painting the wall for the first Cipher Session to be screened on Spine TV!
Freestyle rhyming is the essence of hip hop culture, it's a hard game to play but when you have some of the UK's greats in one space doing this its great to watch.
The background piece was a freestyle but based on a protective mask.
The MC's who stepped up were Sonny Jim, Ramson Badbonez, Scandalous and Chester P. Kyza was there to perform but had to rest his vocal chords so get well soon Kyza. The venue was the Carhartt store on Earlham Street in the West End.

Many thanks to Alex at Carharrt, DJ Gone and the lyricists for doing what they do best.

Check out DJ Sarah Love, Fridays 1am to 3am on 1Xtra on DAB or listen to the podcast when you should be working.

Could all the MCs step forward.....now

Valentine away day

I don't usually celebrate Valentines day as I give love 364 days a year, so what better way to celebrate my 'day off ' than to head to Stockwell Park and do an all dayer.
I have been blessed with a new radio so all the power ballads got played during this piece which was painful but pulling away from the wall to change the channel is something I need to work on.
Bonzai did another super production to the left. Enjoy the art, enjoy your environment. You only live once so paint the place you live.

Big ideas.

Sunday it was time to go big!
Today I was joined by London legend Keen and on the opposite wall Team Robbo. Also joining in the fracas was Bonzai and guests Epok and Kai One from Bristol.

Climate change arrived a day later.

Hurry up Global warming.

This weekends endeavours in the Stockwell Park Estate saw a whole heap of special guests come and leave their art. After the previous weeks monsoon painting, this weekend it was the icy colds turn to see what we were made of.
Watching paint dry is not something that happens in this weather as it often doesn't dry so I dedicated my latest artistry to the cold as a thank you for testing my faith.
The piece features an ice crystal border and in the middle an ice mask inspired by my obsession with African masks.
It's Winter folks, enjoy the art and get plenty of vitamin C.
